Political Compass Redux

Well it's been a couple of years since I last used the political compass so this morning I decided to do it again and it looks like I have drifted further left and liberatarian. My score now is:

Economic Left/Right: -5.50
Liberatarian/Authoritarian: -5.64

I notice the questions have evolved to reflect current issues of the day. I'm inclined to take all of this with a big ole grain of salt as many of the questions I fundamentally disagree with both the premise of the question as well as the possible answers. But no matter it is an interesting thing to know that I am still more like Gandhi than Hitler.

nifty little calculator. My first time there and I agree about some of the questions being questionable.

Thanks for the link. I took the test and I'm even more left/libertarian than you! Still, you're right -- it's not so bad to share a corner with Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, and Al Sharpton (who I'm constantly surprised to find myself in total agreement with). The test was fun, even if it was hard to swallow being labeled a "libertarian." Ooo, it still gives me the willies.

Hmm, I think I drifted a bit south over the last year. I was closer to your scores when I took this last, filchy. Now?

Economic Left/Right: -5.88
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.79

I wonder if this quiz was revised much since I took it last? Wonder how much of my score is based on my intent to NOT be in the same square as Thatcher et al (and he-whose-name-will-not-be-spoken)...

I ended up very close to you. However, I don't think the questions are very fair. For example, you can only say whether or not you are for legalization of marijuana. Well, if you don't trust corporations (i.e. Phillip Morris), why would you be for legalization? However, I don't want anyone to go to jail for smoking dubage! How about decrim.
