September 22, 2003Tax Cut BonanzaThis just in: I have consulted with my accountant and my boon from President Bush's latest round of tax cuts comes to a grand total of $4 per month. Yea team!!! Posted by filchyboy at September 22, 2003 08:58 AM | TrackBackComments
Which of course you will neatly apply against the $125 a month you will owe as your share of the cost of the Iraq war (based on $87 billion, not the $60 billion forecast in August this year). Sweet how that works, eh? Posted by: Rayne at September 22, 2003 09:06 AMI have a Paypal moneymarket account that pays dividends, and so far this year I have made 43 cents through dividends there. Now, thanks to the Bush tax cut, I will pay only 5% or 15% tax instead of 38% tax on it, giving me a savings of anywhere from 9.89 cents to 14.19 cents. Aren't I a lucky ducky? I would do as some Dean supporters who actually got a little bit from the tax cut have done and donate it, but i think putting a 14.19 cent charge on the credit card would do more harm than good! But if you are a Dean supporter and got more than that from the tax cut, you can donate it here Posted by: Mousepads, Shoe Leather and Hope - The Great Grassroots Campaign at September 24, 2003 03:56 PMPost a comment
