Comments: Busted in Texas for Vibrator

That's Texas for you. And as I noted the other day, the irony is that the Supreme Court struck down the Texas sodomy law a few weeks ago.

So when you visit the Lone Star State remember, it's OK to sodomize your neighbor (if they say so, of course!) but not with a dildo.

This sounds like something the ACLU should be all over. There's no compelling interest on the state's part to 1) interfere with commerce or 2) interfere with individual's access to products used in the privacy of their own home. They'll argue they have a right to protect social mores, but this was home-party, not a brick-and-mortar storefront; society wasn't present to be influenced or offended. I haven't read everything published on this case, but I'll bet that means the officers were invited to attend this private, in-home party, and that the officers deliberately misrepresented themselves. Would like to see this pursued in the courts in a big way.

What impresses me the most is how the State of Texas uses undercover agents. Nice use of taxpayers money too! Paolo
